Over the years, Disney has put out so many memorable movies and terrific television shows. And while there are main characters that are known around the world, there are also supporting characters who help make these tales possible.

In fact, some of these lesser-known characters are so intriguing that they deserve their own series and films! Yes, there are family members, animals, villains and random people who are only shown for a second and who could lead to more entertaining stories from the Disney brand. So, when it comes to spin-offs and sequels and such, here are our top 10 suggestions.

Anastasia and Drizella

Cinderella is one of the most popular princess flicks, and it is a true rags to riches story; while living with her stepmother, Cinderella must cook and clean, but then she meets a prince, and her life changes forever.

Her stepmother is not the only annoying character in this story, though, as there are also two stepsisters, Anastasia and Drizella. They are not super cute. They are not very smart. They are not too kind. But all their desperate moments could lead to some very funny scenes!

Neverland Mermaids

Neverland, which is introduced in Peter Pan, is a place where no one ever has to grow up. There are Lost Boys who play all day and have adventures involving pirates, and there are mermaids, as well. These supporting characters seem very into Peter, so they automatically don’t like Wendy. They even try to drown her… while saying they are only having fun!

Mermaids are very trendy, and the world deserves to know more about these chicks. Have they always lived here? Do they have families? Are there other crushes besides on Peter Pan? Is getting rid of other girls their main form of fun?

Ellie Mae & Luke

Bernard and Miss Bianca are the stars of The Rescuers, and while on their missions, they come across many other notable creatures, such as Ellie Mae and Luke. These are actually muskrats who live in the Devil’s Bayou.

Their accents, their home and their support all could lead to some exciting new stories from Disney. Plus, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of other shows about muskrats… especially one that enjoys a unique and homemade adult beverage!

Ariel’s Sisters

Ariel, from The Little Mermaid, is another well-known princess who has her fair share of movies, sequels, prequels and TV shows. There are some people from her world who need some more screen time, though… her sisters!

Yes, Ariel is the baby, and before she came along, there was Attina, Alana, Adella, Aquata, Arista and Andrina. These mermaids each have their own personalities and outfits, and once again, they could easily be featured in series and films.

The Bimbettes

Now, many people know that Ariel has sisters, but how many people know about this next group of gals? For those who don’t know, they are seen briefly on Beauty and the Beast, and they are known as The Bimbettes!

There are three of them. They live in Belle’s village. They think Gaston is the best thing ever. And basically, they are the total opposite of this leading lady in this beloved story. Still, their silly antics could make for a cute series or short, especially since they are a trio… There is just something appealing about a goofy group of three.

Sugar Rush Racers

The main characters in Wreck-It Ralph are Ralph and Vanellope von Schweetz, and Vanellope is a racer in a game called Sugar Rush. Her competitors include Taffyta Muttonfudge, Candlehead, Rancis Fluggerbutter, Jubileena Bing-Bing, Snowanna Rainbeau, Crumbelina DiCaramello, Gloyd Orangeboar, Swizzle Malarkey, Minty Zaki and Adorabeezle Winterpop.

At first, these fellow kids are not so nice, but when the game gets back to normal, they welcome Vanellope back, too! The colors and sounds and desserts of this racing-style game deserves its own series or film, starring these cute characters.

Charlotte La Bouff

Charlotte “Lottie” La Bouff is seen in The Princess and the Frog, and she is up next on this list. She is a Southern belle. She is best friends with Tiana. And she has an over-the-top style that would help in creating a really neat series or flick!

From keeping up with her fluffy pink outfits and following her along to her bestie’s restaurant, there could be several fun stories told that centered around this character, whether it was a prequel or a sequel.

Duchess’ Kittens

The Aristocats focused on a family of felines and how they made it back to the owner. The kittens in this family were Toulouse, a painter who wants to be an alley cat; Marie, a sassy little girl; and Berlioz, who can play the piano like no other.

While Disney is known for creating cuddly creatures and adorable animals, the world needs more of these three! Every scene and line featuring them is pure perfection, so it would be great to see what they are up to these days.

Olaf

These tales would not be complete without sidekicks, and one of the best is Olaf; he can be seen in Frozen and Frozen II, which are wildly popular films. Like all side characters, he can sing, he provides comic relief, he lends a helping hand, and he is super cute.

That being said, anyone and everyone would enjoy an entire television show or a full-length flick that just starred this snowman. Sure, Anna and Elsa could make an appearance, but he would be the main attraction (which he would love!).

Villains

Last but not least, let’s suggest a show or movie about Disney villains. Some people prefer these bad guys over the good ones, and there have been times where they have teamed up and been seen together… but let’s get more!

How did they become villains? Are they still? What happens when they combine forces? What if they all lived together? What if some of them fell in love? The possibilities are endless, and we are ready for it all.
